Frequently Asked Questions

1. What should I bring when I drop off?

All you need to bring is a leash, their food for however long their stay is, and if you would like their bed. We do recommend that you bring their crate if they are crate trained or a puppy. We leave them open for them to go into if they like. Some dogs their crate makes them more comfortable in a new environment. We dont recommend bringing toys unless you dont care if it gets destroyed by other dogs.

2. Do you send photo updates?

Yes we do! We text or email photo or video updates to ease your worrying. The amount of updates depends on the owner. Some prefer lots of updates and others less. Generally we send one every other day but you can always text us for an update if you are thinking of your furry loved one.

3. I'm nervous about leaving my dog. Do all the dogs get along?

The answer is 95% of the time yes! We watch multiple dogs at a time so we are picky with the dogs we take and that's why we don't have problems. We only take dogs that have a friendly demeanor and are good with other dogs. There are times that a dog may like another dog even if they are a "friendly dog" and we just keep those two dogs separate. In the 7 years, we have been doing this, we've only had to separate dogs a couple times. The only other time we separate dogs is if the older dogs need a break from the young ones. We have had big, small, young, and old dogs at the same time. It becomes like a mini dog park and the dogs always figure it out and have fun!

4. How do you separate dogs?

We have a gate that separates the house into two. So we can keep them on opposite sides. Or we can separate our big dog room into two rooms as well.

5. My dog gets aggressive about their food. Do you feed dogs separately?

Yes we feed each dog separately so we know that they ate their food. Some dogs don't eat well in new environments. So they dont always finish their food. Usually by the second or third day they are back to eating normally. We also feed separately because in our experience dogs always want other dogs food but for a lot of dogs it can give them diarrhea.
